logo K2016 blueK2016 will be held in the show grounds of Messe Düsseldorf, Düsseldorf, Germany 19 – 26 October 2016. Excitingly this year’s event will have a clear focus on 3D print-related technologies/additive manufacturing in Hall 4 and at the 3D fab+print Additive Manufacturing Summit Meetings in the CCD Süd, Room 14.

The Summit Meetings on October 20th and 25th (9:00 am – 12:30 pm) are 3D fab+print’s response to the desire of existing and new target groups, who are exhibitors and visitors to K 2016, to engage in presentations addressing the implications of introducing 3D printing business models into their current businesses, as well as examining what 3D printing has to offer as a technology in general.

3D fab+print Additive Manufacturing Summit Meetins Objectives

The Summit Meetings will engage thought leaders, industry professionals, exhibitors and visitors within the plastics and additive manufacturing industries to look at potential technology combinations, and possible reasons for brand and production partnerships.

3D printed objectThey are of interest to anyone involved in the use of additive manufacturing in combination with plastics. New, best materials are constantly being developed from polyamides, polystyrenes, ther­moplastic elastomers, and polyaryletherketones to ensure that customized products can be manu­factured to the highest quality standards.

Additive manufacturing’s strength lie in regions where conventional man­ufacturing reaches its limitations. Its technique empowers design-driven manufacturing processes and enables very complex structures to be made that can both be light and exceedingly stable. Additionally, presentations will examine where the plastics industry is heading in the future, and will look at current and unrealized potential for the integration of plastics (and rubber) industries/technologies with 3D printing.
