Canada Makes has added the University of Ottawa to its list of world-class academic institution that has joined the additive manufacturing network. The Faculty of Engineering at uOttawa is a global leader in innovation and excellence in engineering research and education.
“As a research-intensive university with a reputed Maker Space and a Chair in Entrepreneurial Engineering Design, 3D printing and additive manufacturing are clearly among the top defining research and education areas of the Faculty of Engineering,” said Dr. Michel Nganbe, Associate Professor and Graduate Coordinator at the Department of Mechanical Engineering. “As such, the Faculty of Engineering very much appreciates the importance of joining Canada Makes as Canada’s signature network of experts in additive manufacturing for the expansion of this rapidly growing sector.”
