The program for the Additive Manufacturing Seminar that is organised on November 13 at COMPAMED / MEDICA 2017 is now complete. Five speakers will address topics ranging from direct metal printing in the implant industry to AM of ceramics for biomedical application.
After the five presentations, all speakers will participate in a panel discussion to round off the seminar. Sandra de Vos and Maikel Beerens as well as Daniel Bomze and Alberto Cajiao have been introduced before, and herewith I am happy to also confirm the fifth speaker.
Christine Kinet – 3D-Side
Thanks to emerging 3D technologies, medicine advancement is taking a step forward. 3D printers, coupled with computer-assisted surgery techniques, means that personalizing surgical treatment for each patient is now a reality.
How to design and manufacture just-in-time what the surgeon precisely needs?
The Belgian company 3D-Side took up the challenge to link surgeons to 3D technology. Christine Kinet will speak about the difficulty of bringing the latest 3D technology into the surgical world, as well as about the platform 3D-Side has developed, consisting of three modules.
