gCreate releases large format desktop 3D printers

gCreategCreate LLC has just released two incredible FDM 3D printers, the gMax 1.5+ and the gMax 1.5 XT+. Both models have massively larger print volume capabilities with 16’’ x 16’’ x 12’’ (3,072 in³) and 16’’ x 16’’ x 21’’ (5,376 in³) build volumes respectively and added features for higher functionality and greater modifiability with easily swappable beds and tool heads.

The gMax base extruder that comes with the printers has the ability to print a wide variety of materials including PLA, ABS, Ninja Flex, Carbon Fiber, water soluble PVA, Woodfill, Bronzefill, Stainless Steel, and many more innovative materials.

gCreate Co-Founder and Chief Designer Gordon LaPlante has implemented useful design upgrades such as a laser cut all-aluminum bed carriage that allows for trouble-free calibration and bed swapping, as well as a metal x-axis extruder plate for simplified levelling and tool head changing. These upgrades allow for successful experimental add-ons such as 2D pen plotting.

Further reduction of plastic parts in favor of metal components and an astonishing 512 in³ increase in print volume add to the printer’s impressive features, all while reducing the printer footprint.gCreate1

All printed parts will be available for free download on the gCreate website and section dedicated to free high quality, beautiful 3D models is also currently available.

Anna Lee, gCreate’s Co-Founder and Partner adds, “Offering competitively priced, high quality 3D printers with large build volume capabilities has always been at the heart of the gCreate ethos. That we can now offer our latest and greatest printers fully assembled, calibrated, and pre-tested while providing free shipping and maintaining all operations in-house is a testament to how much we care about the integrity of our business and how excited we are to provide quality products to this amazing community of creators.”
