GE Additive announce panelists discussion session AM for Healthcare Conference


During the 3D fab+print Conference on AM for Healthcare that is organised in Düsseldorf, Germany on November 12, GE Additive will host a 1-hour panel discussion and the panelists have been announced.

After a very succesful half-day Seminar on Additive Manufacturing for Healthcare in November 2017, this year 3D fab+print returns to the COMPAMED / MEDICA fairgrounds with a full-day Conference program on the solutions and challenges of AM for medical applications.

On the 12th of November, GE Additive will host the panel discussion in which four panelists will talk about multiple topics in the realm of Medical 3D Printing. The panel consists of:

Bernhard Dorweiler, Chief Department of Vascular Surgery at the University of Mainz
Martin Herzmann, Sales Manager Medical with Materialise GmbH
Jelle ten Kate, Project Engineer Additive Manufacturing with FMI Instrumed
Klaus Notarbartolo, CEO of Endocon
















The Panel Discussion will be hosted by Stephan Zeidler, Business Development Manager Medical with GE Additive. He will start with a short introduction on the works of GE Additive as well as a brief overview of AM in Healthcare.

Then the panelists are introduced after which a selection of topics will be addressed, including:

  • Applications – standard devices vs. patient-specific devices
  • AM Production – in a hospital vs. in a production center

After the panel discussion five minutes are reserved for a Q&A session. GE is also an exhibitor at COMPAMED / MEDICA where they will have a DMLM (Direct Metal Laser Melting) machine running.

Tickets for the Conference are only available online for just € 295,- incl VAT. Please  be sure to online register via the Ticketshop of Messe Düsseldorf. Registration on-site is unfortunately not possible.
