To further drive the adoption of 3D printing technologies beyond prototyping to final parts production Henkel has joined Origin’s open materials platform. The companies have signed an agreement to combine Henkel´s materials expertise with Origin´s printer and software know-how. The partnership has already resulted in novel 3D printing solutions for the medical sector which will be showcased during the upcoming MDM West event.

Henkel aims to further drive additive manufacturing towards the mass production of functional parts across various industries. The company launched a differentiated platform of next-generation resins during the Formnext in November 2018. By joining Origin’s open materials platform Henkel will further intensify the development of customized materials for 3D printing solutions of final parts.

Henkel and Origin will showcase some of their novel silicone-based 3D printed parts during this year’s leading medical design and manufacturing trade show (MDM West) from February 5th to 7th in Anaheim, CA.
