MTI to display at Defense Manufacturing Conference

Metal Technology (MTI), a privately held manufacturer, has provided components to the defence industry since 1971. Headquartered in Albany, Oregon, MTI specializes in reactive, refractory and high temperature alloys. MTI will provide examples of defence industry specific manufacturing solutions utilizing additive manufacturing, precision machining, and press forming techniques at the 2015 Defence Manufacturing Conference (DMC), booth #704.

MTI is AS 9100 / ISO 9001 registered and ITAR certified making MTI an ideal manufacturer for Defence Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), the Department of Defence (DOD) and the Department of Energy (DOE). Water-jet cutting, deep-draw press forming and forging and CNC machining and turning to tight tolerances– providing MTI with a strong business case for engineers and planners within the defence industry. In addition, MTI can now create parts through additive manufacturing. Additive manufacturing makes it possible to produce complex geometries by melting layer upon layer of metal powder using a high-powered laser.
