Sigma Labs, Inc., a leading developer of proprietary In-Process Quality Assurance™ (IPQA®) software for additive manufacturing has announced that it has become a Silver member of the America Makes consortium.
“I’m pleased to announce that Sigma Labs is now officially a member of America Makes, the National Additive Manufacturing Innovation Institute,” said Mark Cola, President and Chief Executive Officer of Sigma Labs. “Having worked with NAMII members for years, it was appropriate to take this step to further advance our presence in the 3D printing space, as we continue to collaborate with leading companies and organizations in the field. Given our recent awards and the growing awareness of our proprietary PrintRite3D® software, joining NAMII will facilitate broader demonstration of our unique capabilities and help move the industry forward.”
Sigma Labs previously announced that it was awarded an America Makes research project for In-Process Quality Assurance™ (IPQA®), with the goal of attaining high-volume AM production of aerospace components. The Company won its first contract under this award, with GE Aviation, earlier in 2015; additional contracts are anticipated from Honeywell Aerospace and Aerojet Rocketdyne, a unit of GenCorp.
