TWI supports AMable Project to promote AM

TWI is a consortium member of the EC funded AMable Project to support the uptake of additive manufacturing (AM).

The project, which is aimed at SMEs and mid-caps, hopes to accelerate their uptake of additive manufacturing leading to innovative products and upskilled personnel.

As part of this process, AMable has released a second call for innovative, economically and technologically viable product ideas which can be taken forward to manufacture with the support of the AMable consortium.

The AMable Project is part of the Factories of the Future initiative under the umbrella of I4MS (ICT for Manufacturing SMEs) and supported by the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme.

AMable will use tailored services to assist with the uptake of additive manufacturing, including technological, business and training services.

AMable provides services to support and upskill employees in the areas of AM design, technology development, skills and education, as well as assisting with business development.

With a €300,000 budget, the AMable Project is looking for submissions from SMEs and mid-caps from the EU by 1st June 2019.
